Sintra Half Day: Pena Palace

Daily Tour 3 hours Availability: 2019-01-06
Largo Vasco da Gama, 2710 Sintra, Portugal

People short on time who want to feel the magic of Sintra and explore the world famous red-and-yellow Pena Palace.

We love Sintra. Like, really LOVE it. But even we can admit It has one big problem. Once you start exploring this enchanting patch of the world, it’s almost impossible to stop. Luckily, you still have time to see the star of the show, the so-called Disney palace that’s somehow even more breathtaking in real life than in photos: Pena Palace.

Climb into the back of one of our sweet Portuguese-made ex-military 4WDs and we’ll bounce along century-old forest roads for an unforgettable half-day journey. We’ll drive by historic palaces (Sintra National Palace, Seteais Palace, Monserrate and Quinta da Regaleira) and the 8th-century Moorish Castle, sharing the best legends, stories and facts about each along the way. But best of all we’ll stop to stroll through the stunning Pena Palace. Here we’ll snap photos with the famous red-and-yellow palace of your Instagram dreams.

Sintra is a magical, mysterious place to embrace with your whole heart – and they say the fastest way to a man’s heart is through the stomach. So, we just can’t let you leave without tasting the town’s traditional sweet “travesseiro” pastry and homemade “ginja” liqueur.

Our half-day journey finishes at 12.30pm. We can drop you in town with restaurant suggestions.

Other things to note:

Entry tickets for Pena Palace are not included 14,50€ per person.

Depending on the season the waiting times can affect or compromise parts of the rest of the experience as guides no longer have priority in the queues.
